The FMM competencies
are essential the transferable that will enable Fellows to
be personally effective as change agents and implementers.
There competencies can be seen as the means through which
other aspects of the Fellow’s know how, their manufacturing
and business skills, can be successfully deployed in practice.
The Assessment Centre looks for evidence that candidates have
at least the makings of these competencies and a willingness
to develop them further.
The Foundation Phase seeks to develop the Fellow’s
understanding of these competencies, and the Industrial Phase
to develop them to at least the Baseline in actual Practice.
To also have the potential to rise rapidly to senior management
positions, each of these competencies will need to be developed
to the Higher Level.
The seven competencies are:
- Adaptability
- Problem solving and decision-making
- Drive
- Leadership
- Working with Others
- Communication
- Domain Knowledge
